At the beginning of our Quaranterm, the Upper School library solicited favorite book lists
from the graduating class. Traditionally seniors are asked to list the books
that helped shape them, and the library compiles bundles to library display
around the library. Of course, this year, forced us to rethink our usual manner
of celebrating seniors.
It was thanks to our Library Rangers (and graduating
seniors) Caroline Capozzi and Hannah Zevon, we found a way to highlight books
and virtually share them with our community. Since mid April, a baker's dozen of one minute videos have been shared via Instagram to highlight books that have made an impact on members of the
Class of 2020. You can find all the videos, and the entire list of Book Recommendations by the Class of 2020 here.
To spice up the our mini movies, 24
faculty from across the divisions helped with this project. (Thank you!) We even had a surprise faculty emeritus appear! (Thank you, too!) Here is
a the final Senior Book Bundle video chapter that includes all faculty segments
in one (slightly too long) compilation.
Congratulations to the Wheeler Class of 2020! We are so happy to share in the celebrations and the traditions. Thank you for letting us learn with you.
Be well and be reading!
